The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Broz dives in and grabs Couture's left leg, looking for a takedown. Couture pushes down on Broz's head and hops out.

Couture closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Broz to the mat! Broz manages to get full guard.
Broz looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Broz wants to control the position but Couture says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Couture is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Couture trying to control the pace.
Broz looks like he's trying to stand up.
Couture works his way into side control.
Couture wants to control but Broz is keeping him busy.

Broz is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
The referee asks Couture politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Couture prefers to stall for the moment though.

Couture is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Broz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Broz managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Couture.
Broz parries the strikes from Couture easily there. Couture is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Broz to escape.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Couture wants to control but Broz is keeping him busy.

Broz is pushing Couture's head away, looking to escape. Couture manages to hold on to the position though.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Couture throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Couture cracks Broz with a big elbow.

Broz is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Couture has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Couture has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Broz is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Couture yanks on the arm and Broz is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Couture.
