Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Backstrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hubert Parada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Backstrom comes to the ring accompanied by Let the bodies hit the floor. David Backstrom is staring across the ring at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Backstrom throws a looping overhand right but Parada ducks down to avoid it.
Backstrom pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Parada decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Parada jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Backstrom is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Backstrom and Parada has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Backstrom is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Parada is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Parada escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Backstrom gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Backstrom drops back looking for a leg! Parada is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Parada manages to kick Backstrom off! Backstrom jumps back into Parada's guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Backstrom connects with a nice short shot to Parada's temple.

Parada postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Backstrom is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Parada, into his guard.
