Anderson's entrance music is Embrace Of The Endless Ocean. A fine choice. Rich Anderson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jason Brinehall's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Rich Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason Brinehall!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Glass and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brinehall closes the distance and clinches.
Knees to the body from Brinehall.
Brinehall tries for a takedown. No joy.
Brinehall holding his opponent close, against the ropes.

Brinehall has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Anderson is trying to keep an underhook but Brinehall manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Brinehall looks gassed!
Anderson moves into full guard.
Brinehall really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anderson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Anderson looking for a guillotine here but Brinehall defends easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Anderson has his foot on Brinehall's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brinehall works his way back into a safe position though.

Brinehall drops back, looking for a kneebar! Anderson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Anderson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Anderson!

Anderson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Anderson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Brinehall to his feet.

Brinehall wants to clinch but Anderson slips to the side

and Anderson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Anderson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Brinehall is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Brinehall has escaped and now he's on top!

Anderson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Brinehall defends well.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Anderson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Brinehall manages to get himself to full guard.

Anderson wants to stand but Brinehall is controlling his posture from full guard.
Anderson postures up.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Brinehall is working an open guard so Anderson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Anderson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brinehall's waist but Brinehall gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Anderson off to one side.
Brinehall looks to clinch

and Anderson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Brinehall's guard now.

Anderson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Brinehall manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Anderson has Brinehall in his guard.

Anderson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brinehall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Brinehall wants to control from the top but Anderson keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Anderson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Anderson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Brinehall finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Brinehall decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Anderson moves into full guard.
Brinehall looking to sit in guard and control but Anderson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Anderson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Brinehall is breathing heavily.

Anderson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Anderson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Brinehall gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Anderson to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Anderson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Brinehall not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Anderson drops back looking for a leg! Brinehall is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Brinehall manages to kick Anderson off! Anderson jumps back into Brinehall's guard.
Anderson is looking to stand up but Brinehall won't let him.

Anderson has gone for a leg lock! Brinehall slips out almost immediately though and dives into Anderson's guard.

Anderson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Brinehall defends it easily.
Brinehall forces his way into half guard.

Anderson is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Brinehall is tapping! Great win for Anderson!
