Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Slam Master (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Semki Est (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slam Master looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Slam Master!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Semki Est!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Sergei Dronov and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Est throws a nice looking combination but Master bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Master looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Est instigates a clinch.

Est escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Est rushes Master and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Est's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Est darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Est in particular looking to stall.
I looks like Est might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Est looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Est tries to pass to full mount but Master defends it.

Est stands up out of the half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Est dodges the punch combination from Master.

Est looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Est stays in close to Master's body and controls the position.

Est is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Est drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Est jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Est showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Master utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Est decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Master, up you get!

Est scores a takedown into full mount!
Est fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Master is trying to stand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Est is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Master can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Master's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Est sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Master taking shots to the head.
Est with shots to the head and body - Master looks very uncomfortable down there.
Est looking to control but Master is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Master squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Est controlling from the full mount.
Est with shots to the head and body - Master looks very uncomfortable down there.
Master is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Est content just to control the position here.

Est has hold of Master's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Master manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
You get the feeling that Master really doesn't like being in this position too much.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Semki Est dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Master gets caught flat footed, as Est shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Est stays in close to Master's body and controls the position.
Est slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Est controls the position.
Master tries to escape but Est is in control.
Master seems a little lost for a moment, as Est dominates the positioning.

Est stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Slam Master is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Est misses with a wild body shot.
Est tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Master was well out of range. Poor timing from Est.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Master closes the distance but Est moves to the side

and Est counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Master!
Master wants to try and get back to his feet.
Est controlling his opponent.
Master wants to try and get back to his feet.
Master trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Est is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Master to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Master shrugs it off.

Est trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Semki Est has got the better of the ground game so far.
Master is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Est content just to control the position here.
Est connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Master trying desperately to get to his feet.

Est looking for a guillotine from mount but Master is having none of it.
The referee warns Master that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Est punishing his opponent with strikes.
Master takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Master is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Master somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Est dives in and grabs Master's left leg, looking for a takedown. Master pushes down on Est's head and hops out.

Est gets the takedown into side control.

Est tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Master is pushing Est's head away, looking to escape. Est manages to hold on to the position though.

Est working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Est decides to stand back up. Est steps back and let's Master get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Semki Est showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Est misses with a two punch combination.

Est fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Master sprawls well initially but Est persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Est is trying to work for a kimura but Master is defending well.
Est is looking to take a break and control but Master is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Est is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Master wants to get back to his feet.

Est stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Master to get to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Master shoots and misses

and Est counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Est.
Master is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Est is controlling him.
Est advances position into side control!
Master is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Master pushes Est away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Est gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Est controlling from side mount.
Est wants to control but Master is keeping him busy.

Master is trying to get back to his feet.

Est tries for a kimura but Master is defending well.

Est swings around for an armbar but Master sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Est's guard.
Est wants to sweep but no luck.
Master works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Est punching from the bottom.
Est is trying to stand.
Est is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Est actively working from the bottom here.
Master tries to stand but can't do so whilst Est controls his leg.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Est drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Est lands a few punches from side control.
Master is trying to buck Est off.

Est has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Est.

Est closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Est trying to control the action but Master is working from the bottom.
Est stops Master from getting back to his feet.
Est is trying to control the action in half guard but Master is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Est missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Slam Master has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Semki Est is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Master misses with some strikes from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight!
Semki Est comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Est winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
