Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Collins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tani Otoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tani Otoshi told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Otoshi shoots in and drives through. Collins sprawls well.
Collins wants to clinch up but Otoshi keeps it at a distance.
Collins throws a shot to the body.
Otoshi scores with a one two! Collins had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Otoshi takes the fight into the clinch.
Collins lands with a light punch inside.
Otoshi using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Collins has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Otoshi is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Tani Otoshi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Otoshi fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Otoshi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Collins, pushing him back against the cage.
Collins is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Otoshi can't fight it off and eventually Collins manages to take the fight to the floor. Otoshi looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Otoshi tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Collins tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Otoshi just stands there and leans against the cage.

Collins has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Otoshi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Otoshi is pushing down on Collins's leg trying to pass to half guard. Collins is fighting to maintain full guard but Otoshi has managed to sneak the leg through.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Michael Collins will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Otoshi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Collins counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Collins takes the fight into the clinch.
The is referee keeping an eye on Otoshi - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Collins misses with a short punch on the inside.
Otoshi lands an elbow inside that Collins shrugs off.
Collins tries for a takedown but Otoshi manages to get underhooks.
With the fighters up against the cage, Collins throws an elbow but misses.
Otoshi manages to break the clinch.

and Otoshi counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Otoshi quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Collins has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Otoshi celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
