Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Pounder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pounder comes to the cage accompanied by Supernatural Ass Pounder. The crowd seem to be enjoying Silva's choice of entrance music: Desabafo - Marcelo D2. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Pounder is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Silva is just riding it out for now. Pounder eventually gives up the hold.

Silva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pounder is fending him off so far but Silva persists. Nope, Pounder circles away and we're back to standing.
Pounder bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Silva's head.

Jon Silva's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pounder swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Pounder has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Silva is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Pounder.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Silva wants to stand up but Pounder is controlling the position.

Jim Pounder overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Silva slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Pounder has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pounder is really struggling to control Silva but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Silva might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Pounder kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
