The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dante fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Novikov checks it well.
Novikov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dante throws a leg kick but Novikov moved away.
Dante misses with a combination
and Novikov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Dante showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Novikov.
Novikov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Novikov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dante lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Novikov circles away quickly and effectively.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Novikov gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Sirium Dante has been cut.

Novikov tightens his grip and picks Dante up, before dumping him to the ground. Dante manages to land in guard.
Dante will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Novikov drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Novikov as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Dante screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Novikov! Nice submission victory there!
