Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jokke Mela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shamrock has chosen The Notorious BIG's Juicy as his entrance music. Nick Shamrock told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and Andrew Berry.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mela looks to land a combination. Shamrock sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Shamrock closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mela to the mat! Mela manages to get full guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Shamrock tries to free his leg and advance position but Mela is retaining full guard.
Shamrock distracts Mela with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Shamrock has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mela uses from the top position.
Shamrock bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mela's guard.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Mela wants to get back to his feet but Shamrock drags him back down.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Shamrock lands a big shot there that rocks Mela but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Shamrock has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Mela should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Shamrock has tightened it up now! Mela should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
