The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pen tries to clinch up.
Hardt tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Pen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hardt won't be happy with that.
Hardt trying to control but Pen flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Hardt manages to reverse the position and now he's in Pen's guard. Nice work there by Hardt.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Hardt tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pen was well out of range. Poor timing from Hardt.
Pen shoots in and bounces Hardt off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Pen wants to control from the top but Hardt keeps moving.

Pen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hardt has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pen has managed to get both his arms back between Hardt's legs - danger averted.
