The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercer getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Mercer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bertok was well out of range. Poor timing from Mercer.
Bertok dodges the punch combination from Mercer.
Mercer connects with a body shot.
Mercer misses with a leg kick.
Bertok throws a right and a left that both miss.
Mercer looks to land a body kick but Bertok moved away.
A solid leg kick lands there for Mercer.
Bertok is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mercer moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Mercer digs a good hook to Bertok's body.
A punch lands to the side of Bertok 's head but he takes it in his stride.

It looks like Peter Bertok has been cut.
Bertok walks into a stiff left hand from Mercer.

Mercer fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Bertok to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Bertok looks to clinch but Mercer throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Bertok taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
