Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Duke Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Parise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jordan Parise will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Duke Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jordan Parise!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis tries to bum rush Parise with a series of wild strikes but Parise uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Parise looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Davis connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Parise momentarily.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Parise tries to keep at a distance but Davis has taken the fight into the clinch.

Parise shoots for a takedown but Davis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Parise throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Davis's waist but Davis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Parise off to one side.
Duke Davis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jordan Parise.
Davis is looking to clinch but Parise is avoiding it.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Davis. Parise shrugs it off though.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Davis lands a nice leg kick that just misses Parise's sensitive parts.
Davis lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Davis is looking to clinch but Parise is avoiding it.
Davis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Parise displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Davis throws out the jab.

Davis has Parise up against the cage in a clinch.
Davis crunches a lovely knee into Parise's ribcage.
Davis wants to stall.
A right hook to the body lands for Davis.
Parise drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Davis lands a body punch in the clinch.
Parise has Davis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Davis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The is referee keeping an eye on Davis - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Davis wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Parise manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Parise pulls Davis in close to prevent any damage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Davis gets to his feet - Parise follows without any prompting.
Parise avoids the head kick by Davis.
Horrible takedown by Parise or perhaps it was just good defense by Davis which made him look bad.
Duke Davis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jordan Parise.
Davis lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Davis rushes Parise and presses him up against the cage.
Davis lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Parise backwards.
Nice body punch from Davis.
Davis crunches a lovely knee into Parise's ribcage.

Davis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A nice combination there by Davis.


It looks like Jordan Parise has been cut.
Davis fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Davis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Davis scores with a one two! Parise had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.


Parise is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
BOOM! Davis lands a beautiful left hook that drops Parise. Parise tries to recover but Davis is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Parise lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Duke Davis!
