Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rip James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Ludo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think James might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to What's the difference. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James shoots in for a double leg but Ludo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ludo fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ludo moves in looking to clinch but James pushes him off.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ludo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

James shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
