Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tomi Koski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Keynes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koski comes to the cage accompanied by Dj Neon - In Hardtrance I Trust . Keynes has chosen Concerto for Four Violins in B minor as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tomi Koski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Keynes!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good exchange - Keynes coming out on top.
Koski lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Koski scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Koski moves out of range of the body kick from Keynes.
Keynes tries to score a power double leg takedown but Koski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Keynes somewhat.
Keynes drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Keynes on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Koski takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Keynes throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Keynes tries a head kick but it misses.
Koski lands with an uppercut that bounces Keynes off the cage and back into rage.
Koski takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Keynes misses with a body kick.
Koski swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A telegraphed right hand from Koski misses the target.
Koski throws a lazy right hand but Keynes sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Koski connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Keynes misses with a looping left.
Keynes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Koski circles away quickly and effectively.
A head kick misses from Keynes.
Keynes throws a push kick but Koski slaps the foot to one side.
Koski checks a low kick from Keynes.
Koski misses the jab.

Koski drops Keynes with a beautiful combination! Keynes stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Koski is looking for the KO!


It looks like John Keynes has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Koski lands a big uppercut and Keynes crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Keynes looks OK. Koski waves Keynes back to his feet!


Keynes is rocked!
Keynes slips a jab from Koski.
Koski tries to bum rush Keynes with a series of wild strikes but Keynes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Koski throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Keynes counters with a thumping low kick.
Keynes tries a head kick but it misses.
Koski looks to score with a jab to the body but Keynes is just out of range.
Keynes misses with a body kick.
Koski bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Koski throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Keynes sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Koski misses with a double jab

and Keynes counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Keynes.
Keynes postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Koski keeping moving, preventing Keynes from controlling successfully.
Koski looking to hit a scissor sweep but Keynes is one step ahead there.
Keynesis looking to pass into half guard but Koski pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Koski is in guard.
Koski trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Keynes trying to keep a closed guard but Koski is proving a slippery customer.

Keynes is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Koski rolls with it to try and escape but Keynes cranks on the arm and Koski is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). John Keynes!
