The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Worsely moves away from the strike by Franks.
Franks shoots in but no luck this time.
Worsely throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Franks.
Franks has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Franks there as he acknowledges the shot.
Franks ducks under a wild hook from Worsely.
Franks takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Worsely uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Franks has time to react.

It looks like Herman Franks has been cut.
Worsely blocks a head kick by Franks.
Franks misses with the combination.
Worsely thows a left - swing and a miss!
Worsely digs a good hook to Franks's body.
Worsely throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Worsely scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Worsely fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Franks manages to avoid it.

Worsely throws a right and a left that both miss.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Franks.
Mark Worsely seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Worsely ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Franks on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Worsely misses with a double jab
and Franks counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Worsely jabs Franks right on the nose. Franks blinks but takes it well.

Franks moves out of range as Worsely strikes.
Franks tries to clinch up.
The fighters circling - Worsely throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A looping hook to the body misses from Worsely. Franks does a little dance to reset his feet.
No luck for Franks with that takedown attempt.
Worsely throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Franks stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Franks loads up on a big right hand but Worsely slips the punch.
Franks throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Worsely's waist but Worsely gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Franks off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Herman Franks. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Franks takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Worsely lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

A jab-cross combination lands for Worsely and sends Franks crashing to the mat! Worsely follows him down to the mat - Franks regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Worsely lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Franks quite badly. Franks pulls Worsely in close trying to recover. Worsely postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Franks on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Franks doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
