Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Forrest Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcel Thuram (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thuram has chosen Dario G - Carneval de Paris as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Forrest Slice!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcel Thuram!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thuram throws a right and a left that both miss.
Slice throws a hook but Thuram blocks it.
The fighters circle momentarily. Thuram darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Slice smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Thuram is defended easily by Slice.
Slice lands a slapping body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Thuram shoots in for a takedown but Slice shows good takedown defense.
A looping hook to the body misses from Slice. Thuram does a little dance to reset his feet.
Forrest Slice is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Thuram ducks under a wild hook from Slice.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Thuram.
Forrest Slice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcel Thuram.
A big left from Slice misses.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Slice slaps away a takedown attempt from Thuram, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Thuram bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Thuram walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
A combination from Thuram does no damage.

Slice tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Thuram was well out of range. Poor timing from Slice.

Nice takedown defense from Slice. No joy for Thuram on that attempt.

Thuram swings away with a body shot that misses
and Slice counters with a stiff right hand.

Thuram closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Thuram lands in his opponent's guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Slice wants to stand but Thuram is controlling the position.
Slice keeping full guard, as Thuram tries to pass.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Thuram is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Thuram trying to control the position from guard on top but Slice is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Forrest Slice dominated that round.
That's time! Slice's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Slice throws a hook to the side of Thuram's head but Thuram sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Thuram fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A lazy left from Slice finds it's target.

Thuram shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Slice is trying to defend but Thuram finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Slice wants to get back to his feet.

Slice keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Thuram is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Thuram is pressing down on Slice's thigh, looking to free his foot. Slice is holding on for now.
Thuram prevents Slice from standing back up.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Slice is staying active underneath Thuram, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Thuram is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Slice moves away from the strike by Thuram.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Slice displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Thuram.
Thuram bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Marcel Thuram is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Slice jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Thuram throws a combination that misses

and Slice counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Thuram!

Slice tries to stand and escape but Thuram is controlling the position.
Slice is thwarting Thuram's attempts to control the position.
Slice wants to get back to his feet.
Thuram controlling the position well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Thuram tries to roll over but Slice keeps him under control.
Slice has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Thuram works to full guard.
Slice stopping the sweep attempt from Thuram.
Thuram controlling the position.
Thuram manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Slice manages to get himself to full guard.
Slice is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Forrest Slice dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.


Thuram swings away with a body shot that misses
and Slice cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Thuram throws a nice looking combination but Slice bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Thuram misses with a few strikes there.
No joy there for Slice, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Slice lands a right hook to the body.
Slice jabs at Thuram's body.
Thuram takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A jab from Slice misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Thuram.
Slice throws out a loose jab but Thuram uses good head movement to avoid it.
Slice throws a jab when Thuram was well out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Thuram misses with a double jab

Slice takes a swing at Thuram's ribcage but misses.
Slice throws out a loose jab but Thuram uses good head movement to avoid it.
Thuram lands a body shot.

Slice throws an overhand right that lands on Thuram's shoulder, as Thuram tries to avoid the shot.
Thuram shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Slice defends it nicely.
Slice throws the left hand but Thuram avoids the punch easily.
Marcel Thuram seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Thuram tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Slice misses with a hook to the body
and Thuram counters with a one-two to the body.
Slice misses with an uppercut.
Slice showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Thuram.
Thuram misses with a two punch combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but Forrest Slice did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
That's time! Back to the action!


Thuram has a takedown stuffed.
Slice's corner calls for a 1-2. Slice obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Slice keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Thuram walks into a left hand.

Slice scores with a crisp jab that stopped Thuram in his tracks.
Nice jab there from Slice.
Thuram throws a combination that misses
and Slice cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Slice drops Thuram with a huge uppercut! Thuram drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Slice is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 4, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Forrest Slice!
