Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Edward Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masakatsu Ueda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edward Penn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Masakatsu Ueda!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn misses with a looping right.
Ueda throws a leg kick which misses Penn's front leg but catches the back leg as Penn tries to avoid it.
Penn throws a shot from downtown. Ueda moves away and avoids it.
Penn throws a right hand that Ueda ducks under and follows up with a left that Ueda also avoids with ease.
Penn misses the jab.
Penn misses with a looping right.
Penn getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Ueda blocks a jab.
Penn swinging wildly here.
Ueda pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Ueda slips under a jab.
Ueda shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Ueda looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Penn tries to kick Ueda off but Ueda keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Penn wants to get back to his feet but Ueda is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Ueda slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Penn is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ueda is controlling him.
Ueda in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Penn controls Ueda momentarily but Ueda frees himself.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

A jab from Penn misses.
Penn lands a slapping body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Penn. Ueda does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ueda uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Penn.
Ueda shoots for a takedown but Penn saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Penn looks to land a right hand but Ueda moved out of range.
A decent looking cross lands there for Penn.
Ueda changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Penn tries to avoid it but Ueda manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Penn to the ground. Penn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ueda takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Ueda moves away from the strike by Penn.
Edward Penn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ueda tries to score a power double leg takedown but Penn sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ueda somewhat.

Ueda throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Ueda shoots in but Penn avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Ueda throws a low kick, looking for Penn's leg but Penn calmly moves out of range.
Penn takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Ueda fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ueda is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted.
Penn is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ueda.
Penn jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Ueda is rocked!
Ueda motions for Penn to come forward. Ueda throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Ueda is still on wobbly legs! Can Penn finish him?
Penn is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
A nice leg kick lands there from Ueda.
Ueda seems to have recovered his senses.
Penn misses with a looping right.
Ueda throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Ueda shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ueda was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Penn is desperately trying to improve his position but Ueda has a good base and remains in mount.
Penn is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Ueda looking to ground and pound but Penn is blocking nicely.

Ueda jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Penn manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Penn jabbing away but nothing is landing.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Masakatsu Ueda is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ueda controlling the position from side mount.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Ueda wants to lay and pray for a moment but Penn keeps working.
Penn throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Masakatsu Ueda.
I think Ueda has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
