The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Szarak or perhaps it was just good defense by Grey which made him look bad.
Grey slaps away a takedown attempt from Szarak, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Grey motions for Szarak to come forward. Grey throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Szarak shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Grey as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivan Szarak. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Szarak misses with a takedown attempt - Grey sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Grey throws a wild body kick that Szarak sees coming a mile off.
Szarak throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Grey's waist but Grey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Szarak off to one side.
Grey throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Grey throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Grey displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Szarak.
No luck for Szarak with that takedown attempt.
Grey moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Szarak takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Szarak is breathing heavily.
Grey lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Szarak can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Grey and Szarak drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Grey.
