The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Brown lands the left hand.
Brown shoots in but no luck this time.
Orton avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Orton forces Brown back against the cage and clinches.

Orton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Brown shoots for a double leg takedown but Orton sprawls well. He's pushed Brown's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Brown looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Orton is fending him off so far but Brown persists. Nope, Orton circles away and we're back to standing.

Orton cracks Brown with a big right hand but Brown just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Orton closes the distance and pushes Brown back into the cage.

Orton tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Orton connects with a nice short shot to Brown's temple.
Orton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brown on the ground.
Orton looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Brown with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Orton tries to close the distance and clinch but Brown swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Orton has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Brown uses from the top position.

Brown swats away the attempt to clinch by Orton.

Orton cracks Brown with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Orton's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
