The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West misses with the combination.
Todd West seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lopez pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Lopez slips under a jab from West.
West throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lopez.
Lopez throws a nice looking combination but West bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A swing and a miss from West.
West is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lopez.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
West is looking to clinch but Lopez is avoiding it.

and Lopez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

West takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
West with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Lopez to score with a decent uppercut.
