Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryosuke Takahashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rufus Hitzlspergher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Rufus Hitzlspergher was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hitzlspergher throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Takahashi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hitzlspergher to the mat! Hitzlspergher manages to get full guard.
Takahashi works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Takahashi is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Hitzlspergher looking for submissions off his back.
Hitzlspergher wants to control but Takahashi is keeping busy.
Hitzlspergher is pressing down on Takahashi's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Takahashi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Hitzlspergher is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Takahashi sees it coming and defends easily.

Takahashi is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hitzlspergher pulls his head out easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Takahashi wants to get back to full guard.

A close round but Rufus Hitzlspergher will probably get the nod.
That's time! Takahashi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Hitzlspergher lands with a hook. Takahashi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Rufus Hitzlspergher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hitzlspergher has closed the distance and engaged Takahashi in a clinch.

Takahashi walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Takahashi takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Hitzlspergher walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Takahashi drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Hitzlspergher swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Takahashi's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
