Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Diesel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lauri Mononen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diesel comes to the cage accompanied by "What You Know" - T.I.. Mike Diesel could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Lauri Mononen's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diesel shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Diesel has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Mononen finds it's way round the side to connect with Diesel's head.
A slow jab from Mononen misses its intended target.

Diesel shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Diesel thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Diesel working for a guillotine from mount but Mononen is in no mood to give up.

Mononen is trying to escape the mount.
Mononen is squirming around, avoiding Diesel's attempts to control the action.

Diesel goes for an armbar but Mononen turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Mononen.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Diesel striking off his back but it's not causing Mononen any problems.

Diesel is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Mononen looking to sit in guard and control but Diesel gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Mononen is looking to sweep but instead, Diesel has passed into half guard.
Mononen trying to hold on to Diesel's head to control him but Diesel postures up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Mononen tries to get to full guard but Diesel has control of the leg.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Diesel thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Mononen to regain full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mike Diesel will probably get the nod.

Diesel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mononen as he avoids it easily.

Diesel changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mononen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Diesel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mononen keeps working.
Mononen wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Mononen is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Diesel tries for a kimura but Mononen is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mononen managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Diesel.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Diesel advances to mount.
Diesel prevents Mononen from getting the reversal.

Mononen holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Diesel tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
A nice elbow there by Diesel.
Mononen sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mononen wants to improve his position but Diesel is controlling well.
Mononen avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Diesel.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Diesel is thwarting Mononen's attempts to control the position.
Diesel trying to mount his opponent but Mononen defends it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Diesel dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Mononen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Diesel moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mike Diesel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Diesel looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Mononen is trying to stand.
Diesel passes to full mount!
Diesel trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Mononen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diesel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Diesel is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Mononen can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Mononen tries to lock up and control but Diesel gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Mononen can't escape the position.
Mononen is trying to stand.

Mononen wants to control but Diesel is having none of it.

Mike Diesel showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Diesel, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
