Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Penl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niisku Neiti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Niisku Neiti!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Neiti shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Penl napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Neiti looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Penl is avoiding damage well.
Penl is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Neiti off and has taken his back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Penl thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

Despite being in a bad position, Neiti is controlling the hands, preventing any submission attempts.

Penl is throwing strikes by Neiti counters by rolling into a better position. After a scramble, Neiti regains half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Neiti is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Penl gets control of Neiti's arms and successfully pulls guard. Penl will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Neiti postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Niisku Neiti dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Neiti.
Penl gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Neiti winds up and cracks Penl with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Neiti is looking to stall here but Penl recovers full guard.

Penl is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Neiti lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Penl wants to sweep but no luck.
Neiti seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Neiti can do anything to dispel that myth.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Neiti shoots in and drives through. Penl sprawls well.

Penl leaves Neiti with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Neiti has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Penl to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Neiti is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Penl pulls down on the head and he's put Neiti to sleep! This one is all over!
