PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dan Stack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hishimoto Matsuko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stack's entrance music is Deer Dance. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Matsuko gets a takedown into half guard.
Stack is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Stack takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Matsuko shoots in but Stack avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Stack wants to control the pace but Matsuko is squirming around nicely.
Stack lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Matsuko drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Matsuko jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Stack is not going to allow Matsuko to sit and survive in this position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Matsuko has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Stack doesn't defend quickly enough and Matsuko has managed to lock this one up! Can Stack escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Matsuko on a fantastic submission victory.
