Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
simpson shoots in for a takedown but Carlson shows good takedown defense.
simpson tries to clinch up.
simpson wants to clinch up but Carlson keeps it at a distance.
Carlson clinches up against the cage.
Carlson could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Carlson lands a body shot in the clinch.
simpson misses with a hook from the clinch.
Carlson jumps guard and drags simpson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
simpson is fighting to break Carlson's control of his arms but Carlson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Carlson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Carlson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Carlson is breathing heavily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
simpson stands and steps away. Carlson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
simpson shoots in but Carlson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
simpson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carlson but Carlson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mickey Carlson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of andreas simpson.

and Carlson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
simpson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Carlson scores with a couple of nice shots.
Carlson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Carlson is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Carlson is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Carlson has hold of simpson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and simpson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
simpson wants to hold on but Carlson pushes him away.
Carlson controlling the position easily from mount.
Carlson wants to take simpson's back here but simpson is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Carlson fails to take his opponent's back.
Carlson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Carlson avoids the attempt from simpson to control.
Carlson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as simpson is looking to escape.

simpson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carlson working for a guillotine from mount but simpson is in no mood to give up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
simpson tries to reverse the position but Carlson maintains control.
simpson is squirming around, avoiding Carlson's attempts to control the action.
simpson sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Carlson is looking to advance position but simpson won't allow it.
Carlson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for simpson!
simpson trying desperately to get to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mickey Carlson dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Carlson gets a clinch.
Carlson jumps into guard, dragging simpson to the mat.
Carlson has momentary wrist control but simpson slips an elbow through the middle.
Carlson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. simpson doesn't defend quickly enough and Carlson has managed to lock this one up! Can simpson escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Carlson on a fantastic submission victory.
