Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alvaro De Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fredrick Jupe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alvaro De Silva could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Fredrick Jupe's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jupe fakes a jab and throws a low kick but De Silva checks it well.
Jupe looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
De Silva shoots for a takedown but Jupe saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

De Silva closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jupe did well to prevent De Silva getting side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Jupe is refusing to be controlled, as De Silva sits in half guard.

De Silva is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jupe defends it well.

De Silva is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jupe sees it coming and defends easily.

De Silva uses his free foot to push down on Jupe's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jupe.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
De Silva is looking to take a break and control but Jupe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jupe is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. De Silva can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That was a close second round but I would say that Alvaro De Silva will probably get the nod.

De Silva is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jupe is just riding it out for now. De Silva eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jupe is trying to control De Silva's posture but De Silva avoids it.
Alvaro De Silva overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

De Silva stands up and beckons Jupe to his feet.

De Silva shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jupe is trying to defend but De Silva finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
De Silva is nestled in close to Jupe, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

I would just about give that final round to Fredrick Jupe.
