The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pearson thows a left - swing and a miss!
Vorenus scores with a shot to the body.
Vorenus throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A head kick misses from Vorenus.
Vorenus lands a nice looking body shot.
Pearson is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vorenus throws a good cross that connects.
Vorenus tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pearson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Pearson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jab, jab by Vorenus - just one landing.
Vorenus throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Vorenus lands a left and a right that send Pearson crashing to the mat, dazed. Vorenus thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Lester Pearson has been cut.
A telegraphed right hand from Vorenus misses the target.
Vorenus cracks Pearson with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Pearson tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Vorenus pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Pearson is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lucius Vorenus!
