PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Reggie Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arvi Rausku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Franklin might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Heat it up. Rausku comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Prodigy - Girls (sexy girls mix) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rausku scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Rausku with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Franklin makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Franklin.
Rausku trying to control the position from guard on top but Franklin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rausku's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rausku stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Franklin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Franklin keeping moving, preventing Rausku from controlling successfully.
Rausku wants to pass the guard but Franklin is keeping the position.
Franklin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Franklin wants to sweep but no luck.
Rausku wants to control from the top but Franklin keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rausku changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Franklin tries to avoid it but Rausku manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Franklin to the ground. Franklin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Rausku shoots in and bounces Franklin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Franklin is trying to keep Rausku in close.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Franklin has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Rausku should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Franklin has tightened it up now! Rausku should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
