Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Bija (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabio Rodrigues (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bija throws a nice looking combination but Rodrigues bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rodrigues moves out of range of the body kick.
Rodrigues misses with a kick to the body.
Rodrigues fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bija manages to avoid it.
Bija throws a hook but Rodrigues blocks it.
Rodrigues slips a straight right by Bija.
Rodrigues stuffs the takedown.
Bija misses with the combination.
Rodrigues moves away from the strike by Bija.
Bija shoots in and bounces Rodrigues off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Rodrigues looking for a guillotine here but Bija defends easily.
Rodrigues doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Rodrigues is looking for a triangle but Bija pushes his legs off easily.
Bija postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rodrigues is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bija, into his guard.

Bija might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Bija is trying to control the position but Rodrigues postures up.

Bija has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rodrigues can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rodrigues is in close to Bija's body, working some short punches and elbows.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bija controls Rodrigues momentarily but Rodrigues frees himself.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rodrigues accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Bija connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rodrigues momentarily.
It looks like Fabio Rodrigues has been cut.
Rodrigues slaps away a takedown attempt from Bija, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bija throws a jab but it's blocked by Rodrigues.
Rodrigues clinches up against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Bija's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Bija pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Rodrigues moves into the clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Bija on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Rodrigues looking to slow down the pace here.
Bija tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rodrigues just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jordan Bija. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bija has Rodrigues pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rodrigues manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Rodrigues breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bija closes the distance looking to clinch
so Rodrigues counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Rodrigues stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bija swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rodrigues is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Bija utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Rodrigues postures up and lands a big shot to Bija's brow.
Bija is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Bija looking for a guillotine here but Rodrigues defends easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jordan Bija will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Fabio Rodrigues's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Rodrigues feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Bija escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rodrigues gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Rodrigues thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Rodrigues throwing strikes from guard but Bija blocks nicely.
Bija is looking to sinch up a triangle. Rodrigues throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Bija's body to avoid the submission. Bija has instead reached around Rodrigues's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Bija arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Jordan Bija!
