Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Paranhos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Noguera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paranhos comes to the cage accompanied by Chop Suey. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noguera shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Paranhos sprawls well. Paranhos wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Noguera gets slowly back to his feet.

Noguera fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Paranhos avoids it really well and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Noguera shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Paranhos pinned against the cage. Paranhos gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Noguera throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Paranhos's waist but Paranhos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Noguera off to one side.

Paranhos cracks Noguera with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Paranhos postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Noguera looks a forlorn figure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Noguera has left one of his arms exposed and Paranhos doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Noguera screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
