Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Khun Kasem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Lee Rappaport (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kasem has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rappaport misses with a low kick.

Rappaport throws a body punch but Kasem moves out of range.
Kasem looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Rappaport throws a shot from downtown. Kasem moves away and avoids it.

Rappaport cracks Kasem with a good jab.
Kasem shoots in for a takedown but Rappaport shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Rappaport throws an overhand right that lands on Kasem's shoulder, as Kasem tries to avoid the shot.

Rappaport loads up on a big right hand but Kasem slips the punch.
An inside leg kick from Rappaport misses.

Rappaport is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kasem's half guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Johnny Lee Rappaport just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Rappaport lands a huge takedown. Kasem is out but the ref is slow to react and Rappaport lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Kasem lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
