The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

shelley looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Horrible takedown by shelley or perhaps it was just good defense by Crockett which made him look bad.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
shelley closes the distance and clinches up with Crockett, looking for a takedown. shelley pushes Crockett against the cage but Crockett circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
shelley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Crockett tries to avoid it but shelley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Crockett to the ground. Crockett escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Crockett keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Crockett uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before shelley has time to react.
Crockett feints and then cracks shelley's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow shelley down.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

shelley throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Crockett's waist but Crockett gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing shelley off to one side.
shelley stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Crockett.

Crockett lands a big uppercut and shelley crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but shelley looks OK. Crockett waves shelley back to his feet!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A slapping leg kick lands for Crockett.
Crockett has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Crockett throws a quick head kick that knocks shelley silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Crockett is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.
