Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Manitoba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keegan Savard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wayne Manitoba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Keegan Savard!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manitoba throws out a leg kick but Savard moves out of range and Manitoba only half commits.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Manitoba, right into the meat.
Savard tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Manitoba chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Manitoba walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Savard checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
A solid leg kick lands there for Manitoba.
Savard fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Manitoba, pushing him back against the cage.
Manitoba lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
It looks like Keegan Savard has been cut.
Manitoba gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Savard.
Manitoba is struggling to control the position.
Savard drops down looking for an ankle pick but Manitoba pulls his leg out and moves away.
Manitoba feints and then cracks Savard's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Savard down.

Manitoba forces Savard back against the cage and clinches.
Savard is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Manitoba pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Savard turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Manitoba tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Savard wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Manitoba is pushing Savard's head away, looking to escape. Savard manages to hold on to the position though.

Savard is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Manitoba knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Manitoba tries to bench press Savard off him but Savard keeps the position.

Savard working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Savard tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Savard has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Manitoba tries to buck Savard off but Savard is having none of it.
Manitoba on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Manitoba tries to get out of the position.
Manitoba is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Manitoba is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Savard is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Manitoba is just riding it out for now. Savard eventually gives up the hold.
Manitoba tries to roll over but Savard keeps him under control.
Savard tries to pass to full mount but Manitoba defends it.
Manitoba is trying to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Savard blocks the body kick.
Savard fails with the takedown.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Manitoba throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Manitoba clinches but Savard breaks the clinch
and Savard counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Manitoba!
Savard prevents Manitoba from getting the reversal.
Savard can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Manitoba is looking to escape.
Savard with shots to the head and body - Manitoba looks very uncomfortable down there.
Manitoba can't escape the position.
Savard jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Manitoba manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Savard tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Savard shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Manitoba pinned against the cage. Manitoba gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Manitoba counters with a good low kick that Savard was not able to check.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Good leg kick by Manitoba there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

letting Savard counter with a right hand.
Manitoba wants to slow Savard down by chopping away at his legs.

Savard changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Manitoba fights it off and pushes away nicely.
