Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hikaru Monotoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blacky Wilshere (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Monotoshi might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Stooges - Search and Destroy. Wilshere has chosen YMCA as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Wilshere misses.
Wilshere looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Wilshere slaps away a takedown attempt from Monotoshi, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Monotoshi moves out of range as Wilshere strikes.
Monotoshi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wilshere defends it nicely.
Wilshere throws a hook but Monotoshi blocks it.
Monotoshi moves out of range of the strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Monotoshi feints and then cracks Wilshere's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Wilshere down.
Monotoshi tries to clinch but Wilshere is having none of it.
Nice takedown defense from Wilshere. No joy for Monotoshi on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hikaru Monotoshi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Monotoshi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wilshere sprawls well. Wilshere wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Monotoshi gets slowly back to his feet.

Monotoshi instigates a clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Wilshere.

Monotoshi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Monotoshi tries to clinch but Wilshere is having none of it.
Monotoshi shoots in for a takedown but Wilshere shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Wilshere throws a right and a left that both miss.
Monotoshi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Wilshere sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Wilshere misses with a series of wild punches.
Monotoshi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wilshere sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Monotoshi somewhat.

Monotoshi has managed to clinch.
Monotoshi has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Wilshere is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Monotoshi has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Wilshere clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Monotoshi misses with a punch to the head.
Monotoshi scores with punches from the back.
Monotoshi is landing with strikes from the back.

Monotoshi has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Wilshere! Can he survive? No! He's out! Monotoshi gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
