Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Silvey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Royce Grazies!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grazies walks into a stiff left hand from Silvey.
Grazies changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silvey tries to avoid it but Grazies manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silvey to the ground. Silvey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Silvey scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Grazies doesn't seem bothered though.

Grazies looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Silvey!
Silvey tries to hold on but Grazies postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Grazies is stalling here. Silvey is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Grazies seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Silvey has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Silvey seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Silvey counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Silvey scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Grazies drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Silvey escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Grazies gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Grazies trying to control the position from guard on top but Silvey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Grazies passes Silvey's left leg - he's now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Silvey dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Grazies working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silvey doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silvey manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Grazies has his foot on Silvey's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silvey works his way back into a safe position though.

Grazies stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silvey swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Grazies drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Grazies jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Grazies drops back looking for a leg! Silvey is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silvey manages to kick Grazies off! Grazies jumps back into Silvey's guard.

Silvey is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Grazies defends well.

Royce Grazies comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Grazies has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
