Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Allessandro Vasiliev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nedser Kiely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vasiliev kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is "The Hand That Feeds" by NIN. Allessandro Vasiliev has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Allessandro Vasiliev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nedser Kiely!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiely shoots for a takedown but Vasiliev saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Vasiliev gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A left hand lands to the body for Vasiliev.
Kiely has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Vasiliev is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Kiely wants a takedown.
Allessandro Vasiliev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nedser Kiely.
Kiely drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Vasiliev gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Kiely is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Kiely drops down looking for an ankle pick but Vasiliev pulls his leg out and moves away.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kiely can do anything to dispel that myth.
Vasiliev wants to take a breather but Kiely is having none of it.

Kiely wants to get back to full guard.
Kiely is trying to control but can't.
Vasiliev content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Vasiliev is keen to just control but Kiely is a slippery customer.
Vasiliev seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Vasiliev wants to get up but he can't break Kiely's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Kiely is trying to control the position but Vasiliev postures up.
Vasiliev has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kiely is proving hard to escape from.
Vasiliev advances to half guard.
Kiely manages to get to full guard.
Kiely is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kiely missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Kiely drops an elbow to the side of Vasiliev's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kiely works his foot free and advances to mount.
Kiely landing strikes from the mount and Vasiliev is in trouble!

Kiely takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Kiely is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Vasiliev can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Kiely throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Vasiliev because Kiely loaded up on that one.
Kiely has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Vasiliev is bucking up trying to escape but Kiely cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Vasiliev wants to control but Kiely is having none of it.

A close round but Nedser Kiely will probably get the nod.

Vasiliev shoots for a takedown but Kiely saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Vasiliev throws a series of punches but Kiely moves out of range.
Vasiliev will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Vasiliev takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Kiely bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

You can see the frustration on Vasiliev's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Vasiliev knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kiely on the ground.

Kiely postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Vasiliev looks a forlorn figure.

Nedser Kiely showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Vasiliev circles away from the clinch attempt
letting Vasiliev counter with a right hand.
Kiely has his takedown stuffed
and Vasiliev counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Vasiliev throws a right and a left that Kiely avoids nicely.

Vasiliev looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Kiely!
Kiely is looking to get to half guard.
Kiely sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Kiely is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kiely tries to roll over but Vasiliev keeps him under control.
Kiely is trying to control but can't.
Vasiliev is keen to just control but Kiely is a slippery customer.
Vasiliev passes the guard and advances to mount!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Kiely tries to reverse the position but Vasiliev maintains control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kiely tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Vasiliev sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Allessandro Vasiliev has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Nedser Kiely is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
