Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Richard Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Houge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simmons comes to the cage accompanied by Till I Collapse. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Richard Simmons!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Houge!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Houge doesn't manage to clinch there - Simmons circles away.
A telegraphed right hand from Simmons misses the target.
Simmons misses with a straight right.
Houge should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Simmons swats away the attempt to clinch by Houge.
Houge fails with an attempt to clinch.
Simmons throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Houge was covering up waiting for the punch and Simmons finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Simmons seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Simmons postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Houge looks a forlorn figure.
Simmons lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Houge really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Simmons. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Simmons has control of Houge's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Houge regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Simmons has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Houge is in a horrible position here. Simmons smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Simmons unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Houge wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Simmons celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
