Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Juan Pablo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). West comes into a darkened arena with his song building. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAV0XrbEwNc&feature=player_embedded kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pablo throws a head kick but West moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Pablo. West does a little dance to reset his feet.
Pablo tries to clinch up but West circles away and keeps his distance.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
West is trying to drag Pablo to the mat but Pablo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Pablo tries to circle away but West has him pinned against the cage.
Pablo breaks from the clinch.
Pablo moves into range and clinches up with West.
West drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pablo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Pablo buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from West is defended easily by Pablo.
Juan Pablo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert West.

and West makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
West shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Pablo is trying to defend but West finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

West is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
West looks gassed!
West is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Pablo wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

West is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Pablo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Juan Pablo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pablo cracks West with an open hand slap.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Pablo connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Pablo drops West with a beautiful combination! West stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Pablo is looking for the KO!
West is rocked!
It looks like Robert West has been cut.
Pablo lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. West is looking to close the distance but Pablo sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! West crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope West is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
