The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone throws a series of punches but Michima avoids them all with ease.
Michima looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stone is fending him off so far but Michima persists. Nope, Stone circles away and we're back to standing.
Michima connects with a single shot there.

Michima tries to keep at a distance but Stone has taken the fight into the clinch.
Michima fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Michima tries for a takedown. No joy.
Dan Stone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kazuya Michima.
Michima tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Michima jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Stone walks away with a smile on his face. Michima gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Michima fakes the leg kick and cracks Stone in the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stone wants to clinch up but Michima keeps it at a distance.

Stone wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Stone prevents a takedown attempt there.

Michima wants the takedown. Stone is fighting it off but Michima persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Stone's guard against the cage.

Michima stands and steps away. Stone gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Stone tries to land a leg kick but Michima saw it coming and moves away.
Stone throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Michima.
Stone on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Michima. Michima obviously looking to wear him down.
Stone is breathing heavily.

Michima gets a takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stone is not content to let Michima control the position.
Stone knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Michima on the ground.
Stone pushes Michima off looking to stand but Michima dives back in and keeps control.
Stone on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stone tries to get out of the position.
Michima tries to stand and escape but Stone actually recovers to full guard.

Stone is looking for a triangle but Michima pushes his legs off easily.

Michima tries to free his leg and advance position but Stone is retaining full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Stone fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Michima tries to clinch up.
Stone misses with the combination.
Michima shoots in for a takedown but Stone shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A combination from Stone does no damage.
Michima throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stone's waist but Stone gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Michima off to one side.

Michima closes the distance and pushes Stone back into the cage.
Michima is working for takedown but Stone is calmly controlling the position for now.

Michima tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Stone is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Stone can't break the clinch.
Stone wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Michima has him pressed against the cage.

Michima breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Michima moves into range and clinches up with Stone.
Stone jumps guard but Michima stands there with Stone around his waist. Stone gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Michima keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Stone's efforts to push away.

Stone manages to break the clinch.
Michima throws a sloppy head kick and Stone moves out of range easily.

Stone drops Michima with a beautiful combination! Michima stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Stone is looking for the KO!

It looks like Kazuya Michima has been cut.
Michima tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stone swivels and escapes.
Stone with a nice cross.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Stone knocks Michima out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
