Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Conrad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conrad closes the distance and clinches up with Gunn, looking for a takedown. Conrad pushes Gunn against the cage but Gunn circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Conrad fails to land the takedown.
Xavier Conrad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Conrad shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gunn is trying to defend but Conrad finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Conrad really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

and Conrad counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Gunn has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Conrad is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Conrad lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gunn circles away quickly and effectively.
Gunn shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Conrad as he avoids it easily.

and Conrad connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Gunn misses with a takedown attempt - Conrad sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Gunn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Conrad tries to avoid it but Gunn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Conrad to the ground. Conrad escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gunn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Conrad tries to avoid it but Gunn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Conrad to the ground. Conrad escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gunn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Conrad's waist but Conrad gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gunn off to one side.
Gunn gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Gunn is trying to control the position but Conrad postures up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Conrad wants to stand and escape but instead Gunn has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Gunn seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Gunn decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Conrad's guard.

Gunn has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Conrad is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Gunn yanks on the arm and Conrad is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Gunn.
