Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between frankie short (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Chapmen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). short's entrance music is robots. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
short walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Chapmen checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Chapmen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
short circles away from the clinch attempt.
Chapmen moves in looking to clinch but short pushes him off.
Chapmen avoids the head kick by short.
short darts in and clinches Chapmen up against the cage.
short's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Chapmen instigates a clinch.
Chapmen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. short just stands there and leans against the cage.
short breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
short tries to clinch but Chapmen moves out of range.

short swats away the attempt to clinch by Chapmen.

Chapmen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and short counters with a big head kick but Chapmen shrugs it off.

Chapmen throws a nice looking combination but short bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Chapmen tries to clinch up but short circles away and keeps his distance.

and short counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Chapmen jumps guard but short stands there with Chapmen around his waist. Chapmen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
frankie short has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Freddy Chapmen.
Chapmen tries to pull guard but short holds him up against the cage and eventually Chapmen drops back down to his feet.

Chapmen is looking for a takedown up against the cage. short gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Chapmen has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. short is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

short lands with a thumping leg kick.
Chapmen misses with the combination.
Chapmen fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. short looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Chapmen lands with a nice combination. short backs away looking to recover.
Chapmen keeps the fight on the outside.
Chapmen closes the distance but short moves to the side
and short counters with a head kick. That will keep Chapmen thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Chapmen stuns short with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Freddy Chapmen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
short looks for a takedown but Chapmen sprawls well.
short slips a jab and a cross from Chapmen.
short closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Chapmen to the mat! Chapmen manages to get full guard.
Chapmen pushes a forearm under short's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, short is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
