Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hawk Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hide Toshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Price might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Behind Closed Doors - Rise Against. Hawk Price looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hawk Price!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hide Toshi!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Price moves away from the strike by Toshi.
Toshi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Toshi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Price is fending him off so far but Toshi persists. Nope, Price circles away and we're back to standing.
Toshi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Price shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Price prevents Toshi from improving his position.

Price is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Toshi is just riding it out for now. Price eventually gives up the hold.
Price is breathing heavily.
Price stops Toshi from getting back to his feet.

Price is working for a kimura but Toshi is defending it quite comfortably.
Toshi pushes Price off looking to stand but Price dives back in and keeps control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Toshi tries to bum rush Price with a series of wild strikes but Price uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Price closes the distance and clinches up with Toshi, looking for a takedown. Price pushes Toshi against the cage but Toshi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Toshi misses with a few strikes there.
A left and a right from Toshi both land. Nice combination.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Toshi.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Toshi lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Price slips a jab and a cross from Toshi.
Toshi throws a right hand that Price ducks under and follows up with a left that Price also avoids with ease.

Toshi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Toshi should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Price has a closed guard, preventing Toshi from standing up.

Toshi stands and steps away. Price gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Toshi gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Price counters with a shoot takedown. Toshi fights it but they end up in guard.
Hawk Price has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hide Toshi.

Toshi wants to get back to his feet but Price is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Price trying to control the position from guard on top but Toshi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Price avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Hawk Price will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Toshi has his feet on Price's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Toshi misses with a jab, cross combination.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Price slips a jab and a cross from Toshi.
A telegraphed right hand from Toshi misses the target.
Toshi is looking to score with low kicks.
Toshi misses with a series of wild punches.

and Price decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Toshi's guard.
Toshi wants to stand and escape but Price is having none of it.
Price trying to control the position from guard on top but Toshi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Price wants to pass the guard but Toshi is keeping the position.

Toshi uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Toshi looks to land a combination but Price avoids it well.
Toshi misses with a double jab

and Price counters with a shoot takedown. Toshi fights it but they end up in guard.

Price drops back looking for a leg! Toshi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Toshi manages to kick Price off! Price jumps back into Toshi's guard.

Price trying to control the position from guard on top but Toshi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Price prevents Toshi from getting back to his feet.

Price drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Price jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Toshi wants to stand and escape but Price is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hawk Price dominated that second round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Price slips a jab and a cross from Toshi.

Toshi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Toshi lands in his opponent's guard.
Price keeping moving, preventing Toshi from controlling successfully.

Price has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Toshi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Toshi trying to control but Price is working from the bottom.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Toshi missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Toshi gets to his feet - Price follows without any prompting.
Toshi tries to clinch

and Price counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Toshi is trying to maintain the position but Price is very close to passing his half guard.

Price is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Price is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Price stops Toshi from getting back to his feet.
Price is trying to control. Toshi wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Toshi is trying to stand up here but Price is controlling him well.
Price tries to pass to full mount but Toshi defends it.
Price will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Price looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Price wants to control but Toshi is keeping him busy.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Toshi throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Toshi lands with a nice combination. Price backs away looking to recover.
Toshi lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Toshi.

Toshi darts in and clinches Price up against the cage.
Toshi wants to get back to striking at distance but Price won't allow it.
Toshi is trying to break the clinch but Price is controlling him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Price pulls guard successfully.

Toshi stands up and waves to Price to follow him.
Toshi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Toshi rushes Price and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hide Toshi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Toshi wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Hawk Price is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Price fails to pull the fight into his guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Hide Toshi.
I think Price has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
