PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dustin Baasch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kixo Caludo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baasch's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Indestructible. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baasch pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Baasch tries to close the distance and clinch up but Caludo swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Caludo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Caludo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Baasch doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Caludo.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Baasch is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Caludo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Caludo's back!
Baasch knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Caludo on the ground.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Baasch wants to clinch.

Caludo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Baasch napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Caludo is working for a kimura but Baasch is defending it quite comfortably.

Caludo is working for an americana but Baasch has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Caludo was thinking about the submission.

Baasch finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Baasch is looking to clinch but Caludo is avoiding it.

Caludo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Caludo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Baasch is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Caludo has gone for a leg lock! Baasch slips out almost immediately though and dives into Caludo's guard.
Baasch wants to stand but Caludo is controlling his posture from full guard.
Baasch throws a big right hand that misses.

Baasch is posturing up here but Caludo has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Baasch tries to roll out but it's too tight and Baasch has to tap! Slick submission there by Caludo!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kixo Caludo!
