Heartman comes to the cage accompanied by Heartman Theme song. John Heartman has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heartman will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Heartman shoots in but no luck this time.
Heartman takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Carter throws a right and a left that both miss.
Heartman on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Carter. Carter obviously looking to wear him down.
Carter slips a straight right by Heartman.
Heartman shoots in for a takedown but Carter shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Heartman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Heartman is breathing heavily.

Carter ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Carter works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Heartman. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Carter cracks Heartman with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Carter drops Heartman with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Heartman looks back up at him and smiles so Carter waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Heartman is rocked!
Carter fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Oh Heartman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Carter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Heartman circles away quickly and effectively.
Heartman seems to have got his legs back now.
Carter lands a big uppercut and Heartman crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Heartman looks OK. Carter waves Heartman back to his feet!
Heartman takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Carter works Heartman's body with a nice hook.
Carter cracks Heartman with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Carter digs a good hook to Heartman's body.
Carter swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Heartman has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Carter finds it's way round the side to connect with Heartman's head.
Chase Carter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Heartman shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Heartman slips a jab and a cross from Carter.
Carter has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Carter drops Heartman with a beautiful combination! Heartman stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Carter is looking for the KO!
Carter is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Heartman had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Heartman takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Carter keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Heartman takes one on the button.
Carter lands a nice shot that snaps Heartman's head back.
Carter stalks Heartman and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Heartman's face. Heartman staggers backwards, shaken.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Carter, right into the meat.

Heartman takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Heartman takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Nice body punch from Carter.
A jab lands there for Carter.
Carter smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Carter cracks a nice hook into Heartman's ribs.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Heartman takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Heartman showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Carter.
Carter is looking to slow Heartman down with leg kicks.
Heartman on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Carter lets loose with a powerful body kick. Heartman will feel that in the morning.
Heartman walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Nice shot lands for Carter.
Carter scores with a crisp jab that stopped Heartman in his tracks.
Heartman closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Carter moves into the clinch successfully.
Carter lands a right hand that snaps the head of Heartman backwards.
Carter breaks from the clinch.
Carter wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Carter connects with a looping right hand.
Carter lands a body shot.
Carter lands with a thumping leg kick.
Carter lands with a nice body punch.
Heartman ducks right into an uppercut from Carter.
Carter takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Heartman takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Heartman takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Carter lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Carter fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Heartman.
Heartman takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Carter bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Heartman's head.
Carter scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chase Carter dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Carter connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Heartman's hands.
Heartman blocks a jab.
Carter clinches.
A body shot lands from Carter.
Carter manages to break the clinch.
A slapping leg kick lands for Carter.
Carter misses with a body kick.
Carter lands a right hook to the body.
Carter moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Carter is looking to slow Heartman down with leg kicks.
Carter lands an overhand right.
Carter digs a good hook to Heartman's body.
Carter bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Heartman's head backwards.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nice straight punches there by Carter. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Carter.
Carter feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Heartman's calf.
Carter dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Heartman. That did some damage!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Carter punishes Heartman's body with a nice straight punch.
Carter keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Chase Carter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Heartman takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Carter catches Heartman with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Carter has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Carter thuds a left hand into Heartman's body.
Heartman takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Carter cracks Heartman with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Carter scores with a punch to the head.
Carter lands with a hook. Heartman tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Carter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Chase Carter seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Heartman walks into a straight right hand from Carter.

Carter scores with the left hand. Heartman knows he should have avoided that one.
Heartman takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Carter lands with a straight right. Heartman didn't see that one coming.

Carter lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Heartman can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Carter and Heartman drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Carter.
