The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Fitzgerald.
Fitzgerald tries to clinch there but McClaine circles away.
Fitzgerald is looking to clinch but McClaine is avoiding it.
Fitzgerald throws a sloppy head kick and McClaine moves out of range easily.
Fitzgerald will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fitzgerald throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McClaine.
McClaine shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

McClaine changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fitzgerald looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Fitzgerald wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McClaine in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

McClaine is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Fitzgerald is trying to escape and McClaine transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Fitzgerald is forced to tap! Nice work there by McClaine! Very nice indeed!
