Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tokahuro Nagabushi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Sukato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tokahuro Nagabushi had a look across the ring there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tokahuro Nagabushi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mario Sukato!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nagabushi dips to his left and cracks Sukato with an uppercut!
Nagabushi throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sukato slips a jab and a cross from Nagabushi.
Sukato shoots in but Nagabushi avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nagabushi works over Sukato's head and body with a nice combination.


It looks like Mario Sukato has been cut.
No joy there for Nagabushi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sukato dodges the punch combination from Nagabushi.
Sukato fails with a takedown attempt.
Nagabushi changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Nagabushi defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sukato.
Tokahuro Nagabushi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mario Sukato.

Sukato shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Nagabushi napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Sukato is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nagabushi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Nagabushi wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Sukato should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Sukato is looking to take a break and control but Nagabushi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Sukato goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Nagabushi rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Sukato's guard! Nice work there by Nagabushi!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Nagabushi throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sukato on the side of the head.

This has been an exciting period of action!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Sukato gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Sukato shoots in for a takedown but Nagabushi shows good takedown defense.

Sukato takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Sukato controls Nagabushi momentarily but Nagabushi frees himself.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Sukato wants to control the position but Nagabushi says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Nagabushi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Sukato is looking to get back to full guard here but Nagabushi has managed to pass to side control instead.

Sukato can't escape the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Sukato tries to hold on but Nagabushi postures up.
Sukato slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
It looks like Nagabushi is going to stand back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Nagabushi escapes and gets back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tokahuro Nagabushi.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nagabushi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
