Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johny Lock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harley Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reyes has chosen Voodoo Chile (Stevie Ray Vaughan) as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johny Lock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Harley Reyes!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reyes misses with a hook. Lock ducked under it nicely.
Lock scores with a head kick.


It looks like Harley Reyes has been cut.
Lock ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Reyes moves away.

Reyes decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Reyes stops Lock from getting back to his feet.
Well, if Reyes is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Lock is concentrating on defense, preventing Reyes from advancing position.

Reyes misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Reyes shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Reyes wants to stand but Lock has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Lock is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lock manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Reyes manages to get himself to full guard.

Lock takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Lock is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Reyes to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Reyes shrugs it off.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close second round but I would say that Johny Lock will probably get the nod.

That's time! Lock's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Reyes got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lock has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Reyes has managed to get both his arms back between Lock's legs - danger averted.

Lock looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Lock manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Lock is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Reyes has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Reyes gets back to half guard.

and Lock counters with a left and a right that stings Reyes.

Reyes uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lock.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lock, as that shot connected.

Reyes closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Reyes lands in his opponent's guard.

Lock is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Reyes is aware though and is defending well.
Reyes seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Lock trying to keep a closed guard but Reyes is proving a slippery customer.

Harley Reyes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Reyes has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
