Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between agapito stonesteel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Afra Sr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, agapito stonesteel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Afra Sr!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

stonesteel scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
stonesteel throws a strike but Sr avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
stonesteel seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Sr is trying to control the position but stonesteel postures up.
stonesteel trying to control the position from guard on top but Sr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Sr throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Sr trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells stonesteel's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
stonesteel pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sr is keeping the position for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sr is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and stonesteel dives into side control.
stonesteel content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Sr is looking for a sweep.
Sr struggling a bit here.

stonesteel is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sr is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

stonesteel is trying to get an arm triangle but Sr is defending well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Sr staying out of range there.
Sr misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sr looks gassed!
stonesteel tries to bum rush Sr with a series of wild strikes but Sr uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The fight stays on the outside here - stonesteel looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sr jabs at stonesteel's body.
stonesteel throws a sloppy head kick and Sr moves out of range easily.

stonesteel takes the fight into the clinch.
Sr should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

stonesteel turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and stonesteel manages to end up in side control.
Sr tries to bench press stonesteel off him but stonesteel keeps the position.
Sr is pushing stonesteel's head away, looking to escape. stonesteel manages to hold on to the position though.
Sr tries to buck stonesteel off but stonesteel is having none of it.
Sr takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Sr taking punishment in the form of punches.
stonesteel fails to land a wild elbow strike.

stonesteel stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Sr tries for a takedown but stonesteel circles away easily

and stonesteel counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sr won't be happy with that.

stonesteel trying to control the action but Sr is working from the bottom.

stonesteel thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
stonesteel is chipping away with strikes.
Sr tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sr is not content to let stonesteel control the position.
You can see the frustration on Sr's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

agapito stonesteel dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



stonesteel fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sr, pushing him back against the cage.
stonesteel wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Sr pulls guard.
stonesteel pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sr is keeping the position for now.

Sr looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
stonesteel's corner is telling him to maintain position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sr is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Sr lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for stonesteel!

Sr throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
stonesteel is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position.
Sr avoids the attempt from stonesteel to control.
Sr trying to control but he's not successful this time.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
stonesteel wants to control but Sr is having none of it.
stonesteel really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
stonesteel is working hard here to advance position.

Sr goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now stonesteel is on top in guard.

Sr working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. stonesteel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. stonesteel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sr trying to control the position.

Sr escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. stonesteel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
stonesteel content to stall in guard here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that agapito stonesteel will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


stonesteel looks for a takedown but Sr sprawls well.

Sr clinches.
stonesteel prevents the takedown attempt.
stonesteel lands with a left to the head.

Sr's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sr avoids the head kick by stonesteel.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Sr tries to land knees in the clinch but stonesteel avoids the damage to the body.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Sr tries to score a body lock takedown but stonesteel shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

stonesteel drags the fight down to the ground.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as stonesteel holds on and takes a little breather.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Sr throws a half hearted mid kick.
Sr tries for a takedown but stonesteel circles away easily

and stonesteel counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sr won't be happy with that.
agapito stonesteel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Afra Sr.
Sr is trying to get back to half guard.

Sr wants to get back to his feet but stonesteel drags him back down.
stonesteel in side control lands a decent elbow.

stonesteel is looking to take a break and control but Sr is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sr tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and stonesteel counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sr won't be happy with that.

stonesteel stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Sr wants to clinch but stonesteel slips to the side

and stonesteel counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Sr is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst stonesteel is controlling him.
Sr tries to strike from the bottom.
stonesteel trying to control but Sr is working from the bottom.
stonesteel won't allow Sr to sweep him here.

And that's the end of the fight!
agapito stonesteel showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for stonesteel, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
