Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leonus Resi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yomi Sunday (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Leonus Resi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yomi Sunday!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Resi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sunday tries to avoid it but Resi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sunday to the ground. Sunday escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sunday misses with a takedown attempt
and Resi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Sunday shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Resi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
I looks like Sunday might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Resi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

You get the feeling that Resi really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Yomi Sunday showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Yomi Sunday comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sunday has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
