Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Henry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Mickey low blow!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Henry shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Henry could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Henry stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. low blow swivels though and keeps the full guard.

and Henry counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in low blow's guard now.

Henry gets to his feet - low blow follows without any prompting.
Henry shoots in and drives through. low blow sprawls well.

Mickey low blow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Frank Henry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mickey low blow.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Horrible takedown by Henry or perhaps it was just good defense by low blow which made him look bad.

Henry drops back looking for a leg! low blow is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and low blow manages to kick Henry off! Henry jumps back into low blow's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Henry is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so low blow is just riding it out for now. Henry eventually gives up the hold.
Frank Henry overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
low blow is not content to let Henry control the position.

low blow is looking for a sweep. Henry is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Henry connects with a nice short shot to low blow's temple.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Frank Henry just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

low blow tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
low blow prevents a takedown attempt there.

Henry breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Henry moves into range and clinches up with low blow.

Henry jumps into guard, dragging low blow to the mat.
low blow wants to control from the top but Henry keeps moving.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Henry working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. low blow doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. low blow manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Henry gets control of low blow's arms and successfully pulls guard. Henry will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

low blow is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Henry is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Henry has escaped and now he's on top!
Henry seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Henry's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Henry is taking a breather. low blow says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
