I think O Neil might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Golden Brown. Mickey O Neil could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Russell Bell's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bell connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Bell fakes high and swings low for a body shot but O Neil manages to avoid it.
Bell stalks O Neil and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into O Neil's face. O Neil staggers backwards, shaken.
Bell misses with a straight right.
Bell thows a left - swing and a miss!
Russell Bell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Bell checks a leg kick.
Bell misses with a head kick.
O Neil keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Bell throws a jab when O Neil was well out of range.
O Neil throws a hook but Bell avoids it easily.

O Neil throws a hook to the side of Bell's head but Bell sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
O Neil swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Bell counters with a left to the body.
Bell bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Bell tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but O Neil was well out of range. Poor timing from Bell.

O Neil throws a series of punches but Bell avoids them all with ease.
Bell throws a front kick that sends O Neil stumbling back into the cage.
Bell connects with a good right hand that stumbles O Neil. O Neil circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Bell lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but O Neil circles away quickly and effectively.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bell looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bell gets cracked with a nice right hand there by O Neil.
O Neil connects with a nice looking jab.
Bell throws a hook but O Neil blocks it.
Bell throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Bell throws an uppercut from half a mile away. O Neil sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and O Neil counters with a nice uppercut.
O Neil with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bell to score with a decent uppercut.
Bell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by O Neil.
Bell avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

and O Neil counters with a stiff right hand.

O Neil misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bell.
O Neil ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Bell looks to land a right hand but O Neil moved out of range.
Bell missing with a left hand there. O Neil was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Bell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and O Neil counters with a nice body shot.
Bell looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
O Neil thuds a left hand into Bell's body.
Bell drops his hands momentarily and O Neil takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
O Neil lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bell's sensitive parts.
A punch combination from O Neil misses.
Bell takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.


That has opened up Russell Bell's cut even more.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
O Neil connects with a body shot.
O Neil tests Bell's chin there with a solid looking shot.


Bell is rocked!

O Neil cracks Bell with an uppercut from hell and Bell crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of O Neil's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mickey O Neil dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Russell Bell's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


BOOM! O Neil lands a beautiful left hook that drops Bell. Bell tries to recover but O Neil is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Bell lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mickey O Neil!
